How The Post Oak Hotel in Houston Enhances Guest Experience with b4checkin

The Client

In the world of luxury hospitality, having the right technology is essential for exceptional guest experiences. The Post Oak Hotel in Houston is Texas’ only Forbes five-star hotel, with elegant accommodations and amenities for leisure and business travelers in uptown Houston. Luxury hospitality should be completely seamless, and b4Checkin’s solutions are among the tools the hotel uses to create service perfection.

We spoke with Lisa Brown, the Senior Director of Information Technology at the hotel. She oversees every aspect of the hotel’s technology: operational software, in-room guest technology, network infrastructure, and overall data security. She understands that ‘seamless’ technology boosts the guest experience—and it should be seamless for staff to use and maintain as well.

The Post Oak Hotel & b4

The Post Oak Hotel uses GettaRoom by b4 to facilitate event planning for group bookings and events, as well as part of their overall confirmation and cancellation communication. This gives hotel’s a secure payment portal for deposits during the booking process. Bookers can agree to relevant policies before securely providing payment information for deposits and pre-payments. This data is then encrypted and sent to the hotel PMS.

This intermediary portal makes the hotel payment process more secure. Guests can provide financial data on their own device on their own time, while also creating a better overall experience for guests and event planners.

A Trusted Solution

As a Senior Director of Information Technology, reliability and efficiency are top priorities for any new software Lisa and her team put in place. Lisa has been with the property since before opening in 2018, and was familiar with b4’s solutions from experience at a prior hotel. The implementation process was truly smooth and it has been working reliably since 2018. Recently, the hotel revamped its confirmation and cancellation process to include b4’s solutions. Expanding how they use our solutions into new areas was smooth and seamless.

“It just works.”
