September 3, 2020- HALIFAX, NS—Peter Rogers, Chairman of b4, is pleased to announce the addition of Jim Spatz to the corporate Board of Directors.
As the Executive Chairman of Southwest Properties Limited, Jim has proven experience within the accommodations sector, having developed or acquired 1,700 apartments or condominiums as well as 700 hotel rooms in Atlantic Canada. Southwest also is the majority shareholder of Premiere Suites, Canada’s largest provider of extended-stay accommodations.
Jim has been inducted into the Nova Scotia Business Hall of Fame, named Atlantic Business Magazine’s CEO of the year, and received the Most Admired Canadian CEO in the mid-market space by Waterstone Human Capital.
In addition to Jim’s success with Southwest Properties Limited, he also served on the board of the Canadian Stem Cell Foundation, as well as serving as Board Chair for Dalhousie University. Currently, he serves on the board of the Halifax Port Authority. He is also a founding partner of the Creative Destruction Lab Atlantic, a technology start-up investment and mentorship organization.
